HobbyFirm Magazine has been published for June-July. In this issue we’ve focused on charitable organizations and not-for-profit ventures. We look at three causes that were started as part time passions but grew from there.
They include a refuge for bats in Texas, and wildlife refuge for moose, deer, bears and other animals in British Columbia. We also look at a charity established in Ontario whose goal was to get the community together to build a local playground, accessible to all children.
HobbyFirm looks at the people behind small and microbusiness ventures, their experiences and inspiration. Our adopted mantra is “From Pastimes to Profits” which reflects the goal of especially taking your own interests, hobbies, and life’s passions to making viable business enterprises, either full or part time and no matter whether you open a shop or work from home.
